Presentation
K1RID Ed did a presentation on building your own transmitter (QRP). Ed discussed building a Michigan Mighty Mite – a seven component CW rig that works. Ed showed a QRP he built and how fun it was to work low power CW. The presentation was well received by members. Thanks Ed (K1RID)!
Announcements:
Dave AA1LO and Bill KB1CAT announced they have picked up the trailer and will be working on it this spring for installation of the antenna tower.
A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Susan KC1BSQ for her leadership of the Club over the past year.
Tony AA3HD reminded members the the 250th Anniversary Worked All States starts this month. This is an ARRL event and is good for a special award for working all states. Note: You do not have to be a member of the ARRL to participate.

Treasurer’s Report
The treasurer was not present and it was agreed to postpone the vote until the February meeting.
Public Information Officers Report
Susan KB1BSQ announced the Rick KB1ASM is giving up this position and we will be looking for someone to replace him. No report this month.
Old Business
Scouting Event, No Report
VE Update, Jack K1NKS reported on the the remote testing and recorded names of members who are VE certified. Jack also will send out info on how to register for Exam Tools.
Re-election of Club Treasurer Ernie KB4EFX. 1st Dave AA1LO 2nd Bill KB1CAT, voted and approved by members present.
Re-election of Vice President Jack K1NKS 1st Brad KC1JMH 2nd Tony AA3HD, voted and approved by members present.
Winter Field Day: Let Susan know if you will be attending. Also you can sign up on the Club Web Page.
N3FJP Logging Software Demo: Demo on logging software that we will be using for Winter Field day.
A motion was made to donate $200.00 to the Hollis Rod and Gun Club for letting us use the facility for Winter Field Day. 1st Dave AA1LO, 2nd Bill KB1CAT, voted and approved by members present.
New Business

- Jaden Seclow from Brownfield. Not licensed and has not paid dues. Will reconsider once dues are paid.
July 4th event for celebration of the 250th anniversary of our Country. Event will be at the Wells Town Hall and Dave AA1LO and Taylor KE2EBR will be the contacts for this event. More info to follow at a later date.
