October 4, 2026 Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 3 PM by Club President Susan Richardson.

There was a meet and greet with members and guests introducing themselves.

Presentation

Tony AA3HD gave a presentation “Can you acknowledge receipt.” Tony’s presentation was on using the different ways to confirm contacts using the Bureau, direct QSLs by mail, Log Book of the World (LOTW) and the ARRL incoming and outgoing QSL service.

Announcements

• Maine QSO party, Can-Am sled dog race is looking for volunteer operators.
• ISS is operating slow scan TV. 
• Jamboree on the Air the 17^th and 18^th.

Treasurer’s Report

$30.00 more from last report. 1^st Chris KC1WNM, 2^nd Tony AA3HD voted and approved by members present.

Membership Coordinator’s Report

36 active members, one honorary member and no new applications. 1^st Brad KC1JMH, 2^nd Bill KB1CAT voted and approved by members present.

Public Information Officers Report

65 Post Cards sent with club info and net info. The Sentinel posting club info.  1^st Bill KB1CAT, 2^nd Taylor KE2EBR voted and approved by members present.

Unfinished Business

Discussion on the Winter Field Day location. Buxton Rod and Gun Club was discussed and our Club President, Susan, has emailed the Rod and Gun Club and has received correspondence and confirmation of availability. Bill KB1CAT advised that he was a member of the Alfred American Legion and thought it would be worthwhile to have some of the members look at the site and see if it would work for future Club events.

New Business

Discussion

Club projects, looking for members input on what they would like to do.

America 250 worked all states was discussed by Chris who is the State Coordinator for this event.

Members were reminded that at the next meeting we will be accepting nominations for Club Officers. The vote for nominated officers will be at the December meeting.
